Welcome to my world

My world is a busy one (to say the least!) but I truly wouldn't change a thing.  Finding a balance is an everyday challenge for sure.  I am passionate about my God, my family, photography and design.  This blog is just going to be about everything.

I have an amazing husband, Bryson, who is a hard worker and "professional" hunter.  He is my biggest fan AND largest Critic!  I guess that's why I keep him around.  Charlotte is my 3 year old tender-hearted little girl that loves a good princess story and is one of my favorite subjects to photograph. Pierson is my 1-1/2 year old firecracker.  He is ALL boy and plays with choo choo's, dinosaurs, and loves to suck the juice out of any marker within reach.  (There aren't any within reach anymore).



How I see things

Photography isn't just a hobby for me, it is my career and I am passionate about what I do. I am constantly learning from seminars, webinars, other professionals, and books to better my skills as a photographer and designer.  I also know my software well, so I can create images that show my subjects as works of art.  My design background is a great asset in setting me apart from other professional photographers.  I design portrait boards to make the walls of your home tell a story.

Hello world!

This is my first blog post ever!  I am excited to start the blogging journey and invite you to come along if you like.  This isn’t just going to be “work” (I work as a photographer/designer and LOVE what I do) but my life: God, family, design, and maybe my thoughts for the day or a funny thing one of my kids said.  I am already having too much fun designing and playing with the whole “blog”.

2009 was a good year.  My business grew, with many new clients that have become friends, and watching my kids grown daily.  It is crazy to look back even one year and see the changes.  I think I will post some favorite photos from 2009… if you don’t see a photo of you, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t a favorite, it just means I am too busy to dig them all up so I am grabbing from the top.

So… hang on to your hats!  Here we go!

January 9, 2010 - 4:45 PM Rachel - I'm going to have fun following your photos and of course you and your kiddos! You a great photographer Amy and your dedication to the profession really shows in your work! When you have time for this I will never know! I think I need a lesson on how you get so much done in a day! Alayna keeps telling me when she sees a picture of your kiddos...she always looks really surprised and excited to see one!
