Commercial photography

I don’t do a lot of commercial work, honestly it freaks me out…. not sure why.  I usually stress out about the session for a few days before, and then I end up having a great time working with other professionals.  This week I had a couple of commercial shoots and both were really fun.  I got to work with a chiropractor and am working on designing a billboard for her business (pics of that to come!) and I also got to work with the Holton Dental staff, where my family goes to the dentist.

Sometimes I tell people that really are dreading being photographed, that “it isn’t as bad as going to the dentist…” and that is kind of mean (I will try to quit saying that so much).  Actually going to Holton Dental is usually a pretty good experience. Everyone there is so friendly, and if I don’t need a filling I leave feeling great about my breath.  Dr. Gilliland had to pull Charlotte’s first tooth, which was a little emotional for me, and he made my husband a mouth guard so now I don’t hear him grinding at night. (Thanks Alex!!)  I don’t know what it would be like working with my husband everyday, but Dr. Gilliland and his wife Taige make it seem like a piece of cake.  They make a great team, and are also great friends of ours.  I had a lot of fun photographing them and their staff.
