Charlotte Faith, 5 years old

Charlotte is in school all day now, and today she had a day off so we took advantage of the great weather and beautiful golden light.  She is the reason I began to really love photography and the reason I decided to start a business.  I couldn’t imagine going to work and leaving her at a sitter all day when she was born, so I got really ambitious with my camera, photographing her  yawns, her many cheeky grins, her eyelashes, her bath times…. every milestone in detail.  I learned so much working with my own baby that working with other babies, families, kids, and even weddings {at the time} made it worth my while to be a working stay at home mom.  I can’t believe it has really been five years since I started Cyphers Photography & Design.  I still feel like it was yesterday!

When I got home tonight I downloaded the photos we captured together; then I cried when I saw how grown up she has gotten!  Where did that baby girl go?  Her ivory skin, dark brown hair and lashes blow me away.  Her smile and bright eyes always melt my heart.  Her contagious laugh always brings a smile to whoever she is with, and I love kissing the freckles on her nose and cheeks.  I don’t know what I would do with out my Charlotte Faith.  She brings so much sunshine and joy to our lives.  I want to stop time right now… she is big enough I think.  That is pretty selfish I guess… and I am anxious to see the woman she turns out to be someday.  For now I will take this little breather from my busy schedule to admire Gods creation in her.
