Sweet Mila

Baby Mila is so so pretty!  It was so fun photographing her, and seeing Eric, Leah, and big sister Aya again.  I still have some newborn images in my studio of baby Aya.  They definitely are sisters!  So uniquely different, yet some features that definitely resemble each other.  My favorite image of their session {and maybe my favorite image ever} is the one we were able to take outdoors.  I had an idea and I knew exactly what I wanted to do, and it worked out perfectly!  This spring was short, and the tulips are pretty much done, so I am so glad I was able to get to photograph a newborn in them!  Typically there wouldn’t be tulips yet when I took these images, and they didn’t last long after this.  Thanks McPeak family for letting me capture this precious, fleeting  age of Mila being a newborn.  She is beautiful and I know you must be so proud.  Congratulations!

Lana Dillner - Amy,

You do such awesome work!! I knew you were super talented way back when you first ran that ad in the Recorder– I remember you had a pic of Charlotte and a fire engine- white background. We talked on the phone and you told me your friend Chris was just teaching you to use indoor lighting. (Bless her heart- I never met her but I heard so many wonderful things about her)

I am particular about photos and I don’t give complilments lightly— but you are doing everything perfectly right!! Your style is fresh enough to be young, but perfect enough to be masterful.

I should be jealous, but I am just glad that you are kind and share your work. I don’t shoot much anymore except for my own enjoyment, so I love living the life thru your lens.

cyphers2 - Thank you, thank you, thank you Lana, for your kind words! I remember seeing your images at Wolf’s Camera when I was little, and thinking they were amazing! (They are!!!) You are in inspiration to me.
