Frank and his grandgirls…

As a photographer, I am always ready for a challenge.  I bring candy to every shoot and let parents know that I do use bribing as a means to get a great portrait for their wall {they usually do too…. I have even heard a child offered a pony}.

Betsy had a session a few weeks back with her grandsons, and it was Franks turn with the granddaughters.  Almost two year old’s are always a challenge…. my own kids were no exception.  Marley, the almost two year old of these girls, decided she didn’t want to take photos, and we just worked hard to get what we could.  There isn’t much a person can do when a child this age decides she is just done and won’t smile or look at me, bribing did work a little and she is too cute, even not smiling.  I am so proud of what we got, and I know that Marley and other kids this age will give me a good session the next time.  Thanks to Taige and the other granddaughters for sticking it out.  It sure does mean a lot to Frank I am sure. It is also part of the story of the above image, and I love that about it.

The red chairs in the photo were made by Frank and his brother who recently passed away.  What a treasure for these kids to have!
